On our Eastern European tour we are going to start in Prague, and we'll start with a cold beer. Prague has beer, it has culture, it has history, it has beauty, and it has more beer. And it has a bike tour. See the ins and outs of Prague from the comfortable saddle of a bike! Once Prague is done, check out Czesky Krumlov. It's a smaller, studentier town, but equally as endowed with beer!
Most of the population of Hungary lives in Budapest; and fair enough, as it's a beautiful city. Budapest is half hilly, and half flat. Buda is the hilly part, and Pest is the flat part, bisected by the blue Danube river. Our guided bike tour in Budapest, operated by Yellow Zebra, is a must do for all visitors.
Slovenia is one of the hidden gems of Central Europe. Small in size, but very diverse! From the rugged Julian Alps with crystal clear rivers, Mediterranean coast, hilly vineyards, distinct Karst region and much more! In the centre of Slovenia lies its capital Ljubljana, awarded Green Capital of Europe 2016 and welcoming more and more tourists each year. It has a charming river front nestled under the castle hill, a car-free centre, plenty of parks and friendly people. Seeing so many locals riding their bikes around will make you want to do the same.
Not too far away lies Zagreb, the beating heart of Croatia's cultural dynamism and rich history, where you'll find little traffic and intriguing, winding passageways on which you can thread through the Old Town on two wheels. Breathe in the fresh air and the city's many beautiful green spaces, and explore the crystal blue lakes that lie just beyond the city limits. From Zagreb you can also make plans to explore Croatia's lengthy coastline and innumerable islands perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and unwinding.
